Hampton court palace Applique piece

Whenever I go to the Hampton court place for hand embroidery course, I am always moved by the beautiful scenery of the palace. Foggy morning gives a mysterious look while sunny morning makes the red brick stunning.

The red bricks in this piece was drawn by hand on hand painted fabric.

In this module, we learn how to do different paddings, how to use fabric and making a cord and attach it etc to achieve a dimensional effect. You can add your machine embroidery skill here too.

Although this module might not sound like it is a hand embroidery module, this module needs lots of essential hand embroidery technique.

This piece was once featured in the magazine ” Made in Britain” in 2018
